Ian Murray

Owner & Facilitator

My journey into breathwork began at the age of 7, but it wasn’t until much later in life that I realized the true power of breath in healing. My path into this practice was born out of my own struggles with mental health. I entered the mental health system, only to feel dissatisfied and disillusioned with the treatment I was offered. Western medicine, with its reliance on medication, left me feeling numb, disconnected from myself, and as though I was just going through the motions. The root of my struggles, I discovered, was the years of neglect I had shown to my body and breath.

My career choices before breathwork exposed me to some of the harsher realities of the world, which shifted my perspective. What once felt full of love and peace began to feel clouded by cynicism. In these roles I was pushing myself harder to "succeed" while becoming more and more disconnected from who I truly was. I relied on alcohol to numb the growing discomfort inside, masking the emptiness that was building up. I had created a façade, convincing myself that these career paths were what I was meant for, but deep down I knew they were not. This disconnection eventually led me into a deep state of anxiety and depression.

It wasn’t until I reached my lowest point, when I was on the brink of taking my own life, that I had a moment of clarity. Instead of acting on those dark thoughts, I sat down, placed my hands on my chest, and took a deep breath. In that moment, I apologized to my heart for neglecting it, for not living true to myself. It was through this simple act of breathing and reconnecting with my heart that I began my healing journey.

I went on to receive my official training and certification in breathwork from the Center of Grace in Manlius, NY. Since then, I have made it my mission to help others discover the transformative power of breath. Breathwork isn’t just a technique; it’s a profound tool for mental, emotional, and physical healing. It has allowed me to reclaim my purpose, and now I am dedicated to guiding others back to their true selves, helping them reconnect to their breath, their heart, and their inner peace.
